Work/accommodation barges
EXMAR has successfully owned and operated work/accommodation barges since the early 2000s to the satisfaction of top-tier clients. The operations have to date concentrated on West -Africa where EXMAR has an operational and representative office, located in Luanda, Angola.
Other markets are actively being analysed and marketed for proposing newbuild or existing barges and/or operations and maintenance services.
EXMAR currently owns two work/accommodation barges:
Floating production units
EXMAR has developed a strong reputation and gained extensive experience in the floating production unit market. In 2003, EXMAR took timely delivery of the FPSO FARWAH from Izar for operations on the Al Jurf Field, Libya, operated by Total. After the sale of the FPSO FARWAH to the client, EXMAR continued the operation and maintenance of the FPSO. EXMAR has further provided operation and maintenance services for other FPSOs and FSOs elsewhere off the African coast.
The experience gained from successful project management and offshore operations, combined with EXMAR's design and engineering capabilities, led EXMAR to order the OPTI-EX® semisubmersible deep-water production facility. The OPTI-EX® has in the meantime been sold and delivered to LLOG Deepwater, who has safely moored her on the Who Dat! Field in the Gulf of Mexico.
