With over three decades of experience, the LPG Business Unit of EXMAR Ship Management has grewn significantly in the last five years to match the ambitions of EXMAR in midsize and pressurized segments, and has also worked closely with a second owner in the management of its new fleets of Very Large Gas Carriers (VLGCs). Many of the LPG staff working on shore are former Captains, Chief Engineers and Officers who have served on board the EXMAR LPG fleet.
Since May 2014, EXMAR Ship Management has been supervising the delivery and commissioning of a new fleet of EXMAR midsize LPG vessels. Five of these vessels have been already integrated into management with a further seven due for commissioning and delivery between now and early 2018.
The ESM LPG Business Unit also crews and maintains seven VLGCs on behalf of a Norwegian owner. Of these ships, six newbuilds were delivered over a seven month period in 2015 from a Chinese shipyard, the first LPG carriers to be constructed there. All these newbuilds received class certification and were successfully made operational under the supervision and guidance of our superintendents and with the exceptional efforts of both officers and crew.
THE LPG Business Unit of EXMAR Ship Management has met and surpassed client expectations in terms of performance and adherence to budgets and continues to grow its presence worldwide.
